Per Radio Le Mans, since their pit is past the start finish line, their final lap was over the 6 minute specification per the rules. You have to be within spec to be classified.

no, they didn't grasp the rules. If Audi would have gone fast or slow Porsche would have had a lap of over an hour due to the start line and Porsche pit placement.

I think they did great for the 919's first time at Le Mans. It was a tough race for everyone.
